Will you be at Collaborate next week? A bunch of us from Andrews Consulting Group (ACG) and Global Systems Integration (GSI) will be. Besides roaming the floors like everyone else, we will be hosting two booths on the exhibit floor and making several presentations. Here’s a quick rundown on what we are doing and where you can find us.
- The ACG-RapidDecision booth. If you have questions about querying, reporting, or business intelligence for JD Edwards applications, be sure to see ACG’s RapidDecision team at Booth #822. Besides presenting our BI solutions, we’ll be handing out a white paper by David Andrews that discusses the advantages of creating a data warehouse and the options for building one. Drop by to pick up a free copy. (By the way, I’ll be posting the paper to this site after Collaborate so that those of you who will not attend can access it.)
- The ACG-GSI booth. At Booth 718, just around the corner from RapidDecision, ACG and GSI will be discussing ways you can enhance your JD Edwards experience. Come see us for advice on upgrades, web enablement, systems integration, application availability, security, CNC issues, and a host of other topics. Ed Gutkowski will also be available to discuss RapidReconciler, the inventory reconciliation solution that he wrote about in his recent posting here.
- Our Education Sessions. We are hosting three sessions at Collaborate this year. On Wednesday at 1:30PM, RapidDecision will join Business Objects to discuss a complete BI solution for JD Edwards users (Session 25880). During the session, EnterpriseOne user Opus will discuss its experience deploying the solution. Also on Wednesday, GSI’s Kevin Herrig will discuss high availability options for EnterpriseOne users at 3:15PM in Session 20710. You can get a preview of his session by reading his recent post on this site. Then on Thursday at 9:45AM, Ed Gutkowski will discuss inventory reconciliation issues and RapidReconciler at Session 23770.
By the way, I will also be at Collaborate this year. My main objective is to meet all of you who have visited the JD Edwards Advisor to get your feedback on what you need from the web site. I will also be happy to discuss the latest intelligence I’ve gathered from Oracle or to connect you with the right ACG and GSI resources to help you with your burning JD Edwards issues. Look for me at Booth 718 where I’ll be spending as much time as possible.
