Before Oracle OpenWorld last September I invited readers of this post to meet me in person there. That led to a number of meetings and new friendships. For me, Collaborate is the best chance I have each year to find out what is really happening within organizations that use JDE as well as to learn more about what Oracle has in store for us. Talking in person with other attendees is my most valuable way of gathering ideas to share with the community through this site. Those that I met at OpenWorld all seemed to feel that the exchange of ideas was useful to them.
With Collaborate scheduled for April 18-22 in Las Vegas this year I am extending the same invitation – contact me ahead of time to set up a meeting (dandrews@andrewscg.com) or stop by our RapidDecision booth in the expo area. If I am not there at the time, one of my associates can track me down and set up a time to meet. Either way I welcome the chance to meet any of you that follow this blog in person.
Collaborate this year should be a valuable experience for everyone. Quest is working very hard to enhance the appeal of the conference. Check out their site at http://www.questdirect.org/questdirect/events/COLLABORATE.
There will also be lots to learn from Oracle. I am looking forward to hearing more about how the Sun acquisition will impact our community, when customers will start putting Fusion Applications into production, and what BI 11g will offer that is new and different.
Those that cannot come in person can count on us to provide lots of coverage as usual.
