An earlier posting indicated that this September at OpenWorld the JavaOne and Oracle Develop conferences for software developers will be merged.  The new combo will be called JavaOne + Develop.  It will be held in San Francisco at the Hilton, the Parc55 and the Nikko hotels. 

Oracle is calling the area around these three hotels “the zone” in an attempt to make developers, especially those with a Java heritage to feel that they can stay in their own world and away from the chaos of the rest of OpenWorld if they so choose.  Those who care to will be welcome at the various Oracle events such as the main tent speeches and the big concert/party Wednesday night.

If you are even remotely interested in going decide fast and make reservations soon.  Getting in is no problem, but hotels and air reservations could be challenging.
