The LANSA Commerce Edition components provide a core set of standard business rules and definitions common across multiple Web sites, including Customer Self Service, Merchandizing and Administration and you choose the kinds of functionality you want to deploy.
You can configure the business rules and definitions through a set of simple questions and answers to fit your specific application needs. Virtually every application, whether it be for products or services, needs an order-entry function that handles searching/selecting the item to be ordered, displaying the current price, entering the quantity, validating the order and a whole host of other tasks that are involved in an eCommerce transaction. Instead of defining each of these functions for every project, LANSA Commerce Edition provides templates that will produce anything from a product catalog to an order-inquiry function.
